RECRUITMENT CONDITIONS FOR THE ACADEMIC YEAR 2026/2027
General Information
Recruitment for studies for the academic year 2026/2027 is conducted by the Recruitment Committee with the support of the IT system – Online Candidate Recruitment (IRK).
Admissions are divided into two main rounds. If, after the second round, the number of students accepted is still below the maximum number of students established by the Senate, an additional round of admissions may be conducted. The decision to conduct an additional round of admissions rests with the Rector.
Recruitment for studies starting in the winter semester of the 2026/2027 academic year starts on May 25, 2026 and ends no later than October 30, 2026.
Recruitment for studies starting in the summer semester of the 2026/2027 academic year runs from January 4, 2027 to March 30, 2027.

PLEASE NOTE: A course will be launched once the minimum number of people declaring their willingness to study in a given course has been reached.
A person may be admitted to the recruitment process if:
- has a certificate "new high school leaving exam" or "old high school leaving exam" or a secondary school leaving certificate obtained abroad entitling to apply for admission to a higher education institution – in the case of candidates applying for admission to first-cycle studies or long-cycle master’s studies or another document specified in art. 69 section 2 points 4-7 of the Act of 20 July 2018 – Law on Higher Education and Science (Journal of Laws of 2024, item 1571, as amended),
- It has bachelor's degree, Master's degree, engineer and/ or equivalent – in the case of a candidate applying for admission to second-cycle studies,
- registered in the IRK electronic system, available on the University's website, during the electronic recruitment period,
- made the required floss.
- submitted a complete set of required documents during the period of receipt of documents,
- submitted a complete set of required documents during the additional recruitment period.
WARNING!
Additional documents required for the fields of internal security, dietetics, early school and preschool education, nursing, emergency medical services and physical education:
- Medical certificate – stating that there are no contraindications to studying in these fields must be confirmed by occupational medicine doctor.
Referrals will be generated in the IRK system within three business days from the date of registration for a given course.
If the referral does not appear in the system within three business days from the date of registration for a given course, please write to the following address regarding the issuance of a referral for a medical examination: rekrutacja@uczelniaoswiecim.edu.pl
Before your doctor's appointment, please confirm whether the facility where you plan to undergo testing accepts a scanned copy of the referral or the original document. If an original is required, please visit the University, room 114, Collegium Primum building.
- Certificate from the National Criminal Register – information from the National Criminal Register regarding crimes specified in Chapters XIX and XXV of the Penal Code, Article 189a and Article 207 of the Penal Code and the Act of 29 July 2005 on Counteracting Drug Addiction (Journal of Laws of 2023, item 1939) or for prohibited acts corresponding to these crimes specified in the provisions of foreign law.
Due to the legal obligation arising from the Act of 13 May 2016 on Counteracting Threats of Sexual Crime and the Protection of Minors (Journal of Laws of 2024, item 560), candidates for studies at the recruitment stage or before starting studies or before starting classes in the year academic year 2026/2027 (i.e. before October 1, 2026), are obliged to deliver them to the secretariat of the institute where the given field of study is conducted, information from the National Criminal Register regarding specific crimes in Chapters XIX and XXV of the Penal Code, in Article 189a and Article 207 of the Penal Code and in the Act of 29 July 2005 on Counteracting Drug Addiction (Journal of Laws of 2023, item 1939) or for prohibited acts corresponding to these crimes specified in the provisions of law alien.
The information applies to the following directions:
1) preschool and early school pedagogy;
2) resocialization pedagogy;
3) English Philology;
4) first-degree nursing;
5) second-degree nursing;
6) dietetics;
7) emergency medical services;
8) physical education.
When submitting an application for a certificate from the National Criminal Register at a district court or via the website, the following text should be entered in the section concerning the data to be the subject of information about the person when submitting the application: in the scope of crimes specified in Chapters XIX and XXV of the Penal Code, in Article 189a and Article 207 of the Penal Code and in the Act of 29 July 2005 on Counteracting Drug Addiction (Journal of Laws of 2023, item 1939) or for prohibited acts corresponding to these crimes specified in the provisions of foreign law.
HOW TO OBTAIN A KRK CERTIFICATE?
A request for information about a person can be submitted in person at the District Court or via the website of the Ministry of Justice https://ekrk.ms.gov.pl/.
It is important to include the above-mentioned content (legal basis) in the application, regardless of the method of submitting the application.
The original certificate from the National Criminal Register (issued by the District Court) should be submitted to the Secretariat of the relevant Institute or the files received via the website of the Ministry of Justice should be sent to the email address of the relevant institute. https://ekrk.ms.gov.pl/:

Point converters
People who passed the "new high school leaving exam in the years 2005 - 2026 at the basic level, they receive a number of points in these examination subjects equal to the number of percent.
People who passed the "new high school leaving exam in the years 2005 – 2026 at the advanced level, they receive additional points in these examination subjects, according to the following principle:
100% – 80% – 50 points
79% – 60% – 40 points
59% – 40% – 30 points
39% – 30% – 20 points
People who took the "new Matura" at the advanced level in the years 2005 - 2026 enter the result obtained in the registration form, regardless of the exam level; additional points according to the above-mentioned rule, in the case of passing the exam at the advanced level, are calculated automatically.
For high school graduates with the so-called "old high school leaving examination" – taken before 2005, the following point conversion rates apply:
perfect 100 points
very good 85 points
good 70 points
satisfactory 50 points
allowing 30 points
"INTERNATIONAL" BACCALAUREATE
For candidates who have passed the International Baccalaureate, the following conversion of the grades from the secondary school leaving certificate into points is established:

For first-cycle studies: apublic administration and social communication, internal security, dietetics, nursing, emergency medical services, physical education
Matura: the sum of points obtained in the secondary school leaving examination in two subjects chosen by the candidate and passed in the written examination.
Qualification procedure for candidates applying for admission to the following fields: dietetics, nursing, emergency medical services andphysical education will also include an assessment of health status and ability to undertake studies, confirmed by a medical certificate issued by an occupational medicine physician, based on a referral for examination issued by the University.
In the case of direction emergency medical services, passing the high school leaving examination in biology will be rewarded with an additional 10 points in the qualification procedure.
Candidate's predispositions for the field of study public administration and social communication:
- basic knowledge of social sciences and general knowledge of social, political and economic life;
- ability and willingness to develop social communication;
- understanding and ability to analyze phenomena related to the functioning of public institutions.
Candidate's predispositions for the field of study internal security:
- resistance to stress;
- no fear of heights or water;
- ability to work in a team;
- responsibility;
- ability to concentrate for long periods of time;
- situational awareness.
Candidate's predispositions for the field of study dietetics:
- very good health;
- predisposition to work in a team;
- interests related to culinary topics;
- basic knowledge of healthy eating.
Candidate's predispositions for the field of study nursing:
- good physical fitness;
- predisposition to work in a team;
- ability to work in stressful and emergency situations;
- very good health.
Candidate's predispositions for the field of study emergency medical services:
- basic knowledge of first aid
- good physical fitness, predisposition to work in a team and the ability to work in stressful and emergency situations;
- decisiveness and ability to make decisions.

Candidate predispositions for physical education:
- very good health;

For the first-cycle studies: English Philology
Matura: the sum of points obtained in the Matura exam in English and in any subject chosen by the candidate and passed in the Matura exam.
Candidate's predispositions for the field of study English Philology:
- willingness to work independently, including reading in English;
- humanities interests;
- interest in translation or the language of business and tourism.
For the first-cycle studies: finance and accounting
Matura: sum of points obtained in two subjects taken at the secondary school leaving examination:
1) mathematics;
2) any subject chosen by the candidate to be taken in the written examination.
Candidate's predispositions for the field of study finance and accounting:
- analytical skills;
- math skills;
- knowledge of technology – ability to use IT tools;
- interest in finance – financial markets, investments and economic mechanisms.
For first-cycle studies, field of study: resocialization pedagogy
Matura: sum of points obtained in two subjects taken at the secondary school leaving examination:
1) Polish language;
2) any subject chosen by the candidate to be taken in the written examination.
Passing the secondary school leaving examination in history or biology will be rewarded with an additional 10 points in the qualification procedure.
Candidate's predispositions for the field of study resocialization pedagogy:
- basic knowledge of the humanities and social sciences;
- ability and willingness to develop in the field of social sciences;
- understanding and ability to analyze pedagogical and psychological phenomena.
For the first-cycle studies: management
Matura: the sum of points obtained in the matriculation examination in a foreign language and in any subject chosen by the candidate and passed in the matriculation examination.
Candidate's predispositions for the field of study management:
- analytical skills and strategic thinking;
- organizational skills;
- knowledge of technology – ability to use IT tools;
- interest in the business world, market trends and management
organizations.
For the first-cycle engineering studies: renewable energy and energy management
Matura: sum of points obtained in two subjects taken at the secondary school leaving examination:
1) mathematics, chemistry or physics;
2) any subject chosen by the candidate to be taken in the written examination.
Passing the high school leaving examination in computer science will be rewarded with an additional 10 points in the qualification procedure.

For the first-cycle engineering studies: mechatronics
Matura: sum of points obtained in two subjects taken at the secondary school leaving examination:

For the first-cycle engineering studies: management and production engineering, Mechatronics

For a 5-year uniform master's degree in preschool pedagogy
and early school
Matura: the sum of points obtained in the secondary school leaving examination in two subjects chosen by the candidate and passed in the written examination.
Qualification procedure for candidates applying for admission to the field ofpreschool and early school education will also include an assessment of health and ability to undertake studies, confirmed by a medical certificate issued by an occupational medicine physician.
Candidate's predispositions for the field of study preschool and early school pedagogy:
- basic knowledge of the humanities and social sciences;
- communication skills and ability to work in a team;
- predisposition to work with children aged 3-10;
- understanding and ability to analyze pedagogical and psychological phenomena.
For the second-cycle studies: internal security
The basis for applying for admission is a first- or second-cycle diploma. Admission is based on the grade on the diploma. If the number of applicants exceeds the available places, an additional criterion will be the average grade on exams taken during the studies.
In addition, completion of first-cycle studies in Internal Security or Public Administration and Social Communication will be rewarded with an additional 1 point in the qualification procedure.
Qualification procedure for candidates applying for admission to the field of study internal security will also include an assessment of health and ability to undertake studies, confirmed by a medical certificate issued by an occupational medicine physician.
Candidate's predispositions for the field of study internal security:
- basic knowledge of social sciences and general knowledge of social, political and economic life;
- ability and willingness to develop towards internal security;
- understanding and ability to analyze phenomena related to the functioning of public institutions, especially in the context of public service officials.
For the second-cycle studies: nursing
The basis for applying for admission is having a diploma Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
Admission is based on the grade on the diploma. In the event of a large number of applicants exceeding the limit of places, an additional criterion will be the average grade from the course of studies.
Qualification procedure for candidates applying for admission to the field of study nursing will also include an assessment of health and ability to undertake studies, confirmed by a medical certificate issued by an occupational medicine physician.
Candidate's predispositions for the field of study nursing:
- good physical fitness;
- predisposition to work in a team;
- ability to work in stressful and emergency situations;
- very good health.
For the second-cycle studies, the field of study is: management and production engineering.
The basis for applying for admission is having a university diploma first-cycle engineering studies with the professional title of engineerAdmission is based on the grade on the diploma. If the number of applicants exceeds the available places, an additional criterion will be the grade point average for the entire course of study.
