To mark the 36th anniversary of the imposition of martial law in Poland, the Polish Embassy in Nairobi, Kenya, organized a screening of the film "Jack Strong." Approximately 120 people attended the screening, including many diplomats, representatives of the Polish diaspora, and the Kenyan audience. The screening was preceded by a discussion with Dan Travis, RaDirector for Public Diplomacy at the U.S. Embassy in Nairobi and Associate Professor Patryk Pleskot, lecturer at the Jan Karski Institute of Political Science, author of over 100 scientific articles and 20 history books.

Prof. In a lecture illustrated with slides from Poland at the turn of the 70s and 80s, Pleskot characterized the emergence of Solidarity, the genesis of martial law, and the reaction of the international community to the introduction of martial law in Poland.
